Levantine cuisine

Levantine cuisine is the traditional cuisine of the Levant, known in Arabic as the Bilad ash-Sham and Mashriq. This region shared many culinary traditions with Ottoman cuisine before and during the Turkish-Ottoman Empire, and it continues to carry an influentially mainstream character in a majority of the dishes today. It is found in the modern states of Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Israel, Palestine, Syria

Lebanese cuisine

Lebanese cuisine is a Middle Eastern cuisine. It includes an abundance of whole grains, fruits, vegetables, starches, fresh fish and seafood; animal fats are consumed sparingly. Poultry is eaten more often than red meat. When red meat is eaten it is usually lamb on the coast and goat meat in the mountain regions. It also includes copious amounts of garlic and olive oil, often seasoned by lemon juice. Also, there is plenty of chickpeas in their diet. Olive oil, herbs, garlic and lemon are typical flavors found in the Lebanese diet.

Meet our Executive Chef Osama Kutaini

I was born in Syria in 1980. I have started my career early at the age of 17 years, after finishing the school I began my real career with the Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where I spent more than 4 years. Here I had the opportunity to work with experienced chefs and develop my creativity. Almost weekly I was able to attend and cook for more than thousand people. I had the chance to visit the Caribbean for short time as a task force too. As of October 2006, I joined the Pre-opening team of Four Seasons Golf Club Dubai as a chef de partie, and then followed as Junior sous chef. After these experiences, I moved to Hungary and continued my career as part of famous Costes restaurant. However, I liked to work here and gained a lot of new experiences I was invited to join back to Four Seasons Gresham Palace Budapest. I was part of the Gresham Kitchen as Sous Chef, I spent about 3 years in this position. Presently I am working as Executive Chef in Buddha-Bar Hotel Budapest Klotild Palace. It is the second of the world-famous Buddha-Bar Collection. I am in charge for the Buddha-Bar Restaurant, which is known about Asian fusion kitchen with a subtle mix of flavors and Baalbek Lebanese Restaurant which has a fine combination of both Middle-Eastern and Oriental styles it provides a pleasant atmosphere in Budapest. In my spare time, I like traveling and discovering new food styles. Besides Arabic and English languages I do speak Hungarian. I am married and very proud to be a father of two.
